March started off with the release of the new Sandhill Small Lot series (see notes below) and there really isn't much around so grab some if you can. We also received the Hawthorne Gold label Chard that is also dear and managed to get an allocation of See Ya Later Ranch 2001 Pinot Noir though I haven't tasted it yet with notes, though do recall it was my favourite at the release luncheon but opted for fork instead of pen. The Burrowing Owl 2002 Syrah gets released in April but we get a meager 3 cases per store and probably have 100 names on each list so once you get this note call with credit card because there are NO HOLDS. The first of the 2003 whites have just started to arrive at the end of the month and from what I have quickly tasted it looks to be a big ripe vintage and we will see who managed to retain some acidity for some balance.
Cheers, GB
